PRODUCT DETAILS:

An intermediate switch is a "three-way" light switch. It is used when you have three or more switches controlling one light; the middle switch needs to be an intermediate light switch. ... for example, a large hallway may need an intermediate switch to turn on or off a load without having to wall either end. On this circuit you would need the middle switch to be an intermediate switch.

The 60PBI suits the 4000 Saturn 4000 series switch plates.
