The BXQ-Z-40 has been specifically designed for hard insulation, in the range of 14mm to 40mm diameter. Maximum insulation stripping depth is 6mm for end stripping of a cable and 4mm for mid section stripping of a cable. The BXQ-Z-40 has depth adjustment on the blade, while diameter adjustment is simply done by opening the jaws to accommodate the cable, and locking in position once on the cable. The blade has been sharpened and heat treated for added strength and durability. Blades can be changed or sharpened when they get blunt.
